The raid, according to reporters and office workers, was not merely an investigation but an assault on press freedom. Following Farhan Malik’s arrest, his necessary work supplies were also seized.

Notices of Case Dismissal Are Issued by the Sindh High Court
Regarding Farhan Malik’s request to have his case dismissed for allegedly anti-state videos, the Sindh High Court handed notices. The hearing has been rescheduled for after Eid. Muiz Jafri, his attorney, contended that the FIR was illegal and intended to harass a journalist.

Reporters and Activists Denounce the Raid
Human rights organizations called on the government to protect journalistic freedom and denounced the raid. Employees of Rafter pledged to keep up the fight for free speech.
