Islamabad: Gentry Beach, who is leading a group of American investors, claims that deepfake technology tricked former U.S. diplomat Richard Grenell.
Gentry Beach asserted to reporters in Islamabad that Richard Grenell’s previous criticisms of Pakistan stemmed from ignorance. But lately, his view of Pakistan has changed dramatically. “Richard Grenell personally told me that AI-generated presentations influenced his views,” he continued.
Gentry Beach emphasized that in the past, the American audience did not receive a true picture of Pakistan, leading to misconceptions. But now, American authorities and investors are taking a more pragmatic stance toward the nation. He went on to say that Richard Grenell now has a greater awareness of Pakistan and the facts on the ground.
Gentry Beach explained his trip by saying he was in Pakistan to look into economic prospects rather than political issues. American investors are eager to put billions of dollars into Pakistan’s mineral, oil, real estate, and artificial intelligence industries, he said.
He went on to say, “The U.S. government respects Pakistan’s existing leadership and sees Pakistan as a vital friend. The United States recognizes the tremendous sacrifices Pakistan has made in the war against terrorism.
Pakistani journalists and social media users harshly condemned him after he spoke about politics and made allegations about Richard Grenell during a press conference on state television.
Zubair Ali Khan discussed the situation by saying, “Now, even diplomacy is being manipulated through fake news.”
“Duffers are now trying to improve diplomacy through fake news.”
