Case Filed Under the PECA Act of 2016 in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: In response to Traffic Warden Imran Sikandar’s complaint, a second case under the PECA Act 2016 has been filed at the Cantt Police Station. Section 21, Subsection 1(D) applies in this circumstance.

According to the FIR, the accused posted a video of a car being towed after it was parked incorrectly on social media. The store owner reportedly shared the video to incite public ire against the traffic cops.

Fighting cybercrimes, such as disseminating misleading information, is the goal of the PECA Act of 2016. Strict measures are being taken by the government to stop social media abuse. The necessity of legal limitations in the exchange of digital material is shown by this case.
