“PTI’s aim is not negotiations but solely to secure relief for one individual, says Khawaja.”

The only goal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) politics, according to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, is to obtain relief for a single person; there is no sincere desire to address more significant problems. He criticized the PTI’s present approach, saying that the party has strayed from its principles and is now only bound by self-interest.

Khawaja Asif reaffirmed his earlier assessment that talks with the PTI will fail during a phone call with anchor Shaukat Paracha on the private TV channel “Aaj News” program “Rubaru.” PTI wants conditional discussions, which are doomed to fail, he said.

PTI leaders, according to Khawaja Asif, are at war with one another because of personal interests and internal disagreements. He underlined that although the provincial administration has not carried out its fundamental duties, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve relief and peace.

In addition, he denounced the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration for attacking Islamabad three times. He said he was confident that the PTI’s latest protest plans will similarly fail, citing its previous promises to march to the capital.

Following the meeting between PTI leaders and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Khawaja Asif rejected worries about a grand opposition alliance, claiming that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was not in danger.

Fawad Chaudhry, the former minister of information, emphasized that without a unified opposition, there would be no meaningful action against the administration. In order to lay out a national agenda, he asked Maulana Fazlur Rehman to call an informal gathering of all opposition parties.

Although some members supported the salary hike for assembly members, PTI leader Ali Ahmad Khan opposed it, saying the timing was wrong. Additionally, he commended Junaid Akbar as a leader who is bold and honest and who has the guts to talk openly with Imran Khan. He disclosed that although Junaid Akbar is still a close and reliable ally of Imran Khan, he had earlier declared his intention to leave the party during a meeting because of disputes.
